FAQ | Custody Rights Resources

Our nonprofit helps parents in child custody cases. Many parents want to better understand custody bias and what to do if they’ve been treated unfairly by the courts. We can help.

How do I know if I am eligible?

Fill out our online application and submit it to us. Our board of directors reviews all applicants and grants approvals.

How long does it take to qualify for the program?

We know time is of the essence in these cases. Just a month in a child’s life can seem like forever to them and to you, so we will do whatever we can to speed up the process of getting help to parents who need it. We strive to get an answer about your application to you within two weeks of receiving your application.

What happens when I’m approved for help?

Once approved, the 505 will immediately connect you with one of our partnering attorneys to get your case moving. Our goal is to get you representation and support as quickly as possible so you can focus on your family, not the fight.

Does it cost anything for me to participate?

No. This is a program funded by generous donors who believe in parents’ rights and wanting good people to get a fair shake. We help people understand child custody bias and find the child custody resources they need.

What if my custody case was already decided in court?

If you apply for 505 Movement funding and are approved, you may receive funds that could be used for legal fees in an appeal of your custody determination.
